Frustrated.

My knees have been hurting me really bad, so I took the rest of the week of last week, hoping that would help. Today I got to go running outside while Chris stayed home with the boys. Both him and Logan are sick and I needed a break BADLY! As soon as I started running, my knees starting aching. I'm so afraid it's my new shoes, which I love dearly:( So, I only ran a mile that walked some then ran a litte more. Although, I'm pretty sure my walk was faster than my run...I was SLOW today! Oh well, it was better than nothing and it got me out of the house. I'm going to try running in my old shoes and see if there is a difference.

Hangin In...

Today was a hang in there day. My back and knees hurt all night long and I could barely move this morning. So, I took some advil and gave it some time. I also switched it up and did JM workout first to warm-up and then got on the treadmill.

Monday runs are usually so painful, and today's was no exception. It had been 4 days since I got to run so it was alittle tougher, but I kicked butt. I did my farthest run so far and even with some incline.

Gettin Creative!

Wednesday-we are up in Alamo and no one is here today except me and the boys and I don't have my treadmill...so I got creative. Thank Heavens for my ipod! I put Trevor and Logan down for thier nap and James and I headed outside so I could run around the perimeter of our property and the arena! Talk about a good workout...so much of it was sand and hills. I didn't run quite as far or quite as quick, but it worked my butt out good!

Beautiful Monday...

After a good night's sleep (Trevor slept 7 hrs!!) Chris woke me up at 5:00am so I could go running before he left for work. At first, I just rolled over, thinking that I would run on the treadmill today. But, I knew I wanted to take advantage of running with my nike+ again. As I headed out the door, I realized my ipod battery was dead:( Oh well, I was still happy to be running outside. It was a beautiful morning. I love this time of year, nice and cool but not cold.

Hitting the Pavement.

Today just as I got already to jump on the treadmill, Chris came home to take care of paperwork. Since both Logan and Trevor were down for naps, I decided to take advantage of daddy being home and skipped the treadmill and hit the pavement. I've been dying to try out my Nike+ and this was the perfect chance. WAY TOO COOL! Love, Love, Loved it.
Well, if I thought I was sore tuesday morning...today was bad, but in such a good way. I ran mile at 9.5 min pace. (See that's the beauty of the Nike+, it tells you your pace, distance, calories burned-all the good stuff!) I was pleased considering how much I hurt and also running outside versus the treadmill-there is SUCH a difference!

Feels SOOO Good!

So I woke up tuesday morning (after only 2.5 hours of sleep due to a ROUGH night) sore. Pathetic huh? But, my run and lower body workout on monday worked me over:) So, with absolutely no energy to spare, I rested. This morning I knew I had to make up for my lazy butt. So, I took it a little slower-10 minute mile for 1.5 miles then did a 1/2 hour of Jillian Michaels Biggest Winner video. She kicks butt! After watching theBiggest Looser-I want her as my personal trainer. Since there's no way I could ever leave my family for that long-her videos are the next best thing! I am dripping sweat and it feels Oh SOOO Good!

Yeah...Back into Running!

So, my friend Jenny (who I can't believe moved just as I'm able to run again! I really need a running partner!!) had a great idea of doing a running blog. I decided it would be a great motivation for me to be able to track my running. And since I'm such a Blog Addict, I will want to post all the time, so I'll have to run all the time so I have something to post about:)

Monday Sept. 8th
Ran 1 9 minute mile on treadmill.

When I got on the treadmill this morning, I thought to myself, I'll be happy with 1/2 mile since it's been about 8 months since I've ran at all! So, I was thrilled to do a 9 minute mile. There is a 5k on October 25th that I'm shooting for to be my first race back. I'd also like to do the 1/2 marathon with my SIL Amy out at Valley of Fire in November, but it may be a little too soon, we'll see how it goes!
